Bentley Conservation Easement:
Conserved in late 2011, the Bentley Conservation Easement protects over 1,800 linear feet of Spurgeon Creek riparian habitat, numerous wetlands and a mixed conifer forest. Landowner Shelly Bentley has been actively working to restore 13 acres of habitat on her 16-acre property located a short distance from the confluence of Spurgeon Creek with the Deschutes River. Along with numerous community volunteers, she has worked extensively to restore the riparian corridor by removing invasive species and replanting the area with hundreds of native plants.
